Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at RAVO, you will become part of the New Product Development department. You will work closely with other engineers and will also regularly liaise with external engineering firms. In addition, you will have a lot of contact with teams such as (After) Sales, Current Products and the Production Department. Together, we ensure that we achieve the best possible results.

What will you do?

In this role you are responsible for developing, elaborating and keeping up to date the electrical and hydraulic control systems within RAVO products. Think of software for drive systems, power systems and the user interface. From the first system concept to detail engineering and documentation: you keep the overview. And the best part? After your design, you can build and test everything yourself directly in our own R&D workshop, ideal if you like working with your hands and your head.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining electrical and hydraulic control systems (incl. drive systems, power systems and UI software);

• Setting up the system concept and translating it into a working design;

• (Having) detail engineering of software and the associated documentation elaborated;

• Building, integrating and testing your solutions in our own R&D workshop;

• Aligning and coordinating activities (internally and externally) to ensure projects run smoothly.

What we also look for in you:

• A few years of experience as a Software Engineer in an industrial or automotive (production) environment;

• Preferably knowledge of electrical and/or hydraulic power systems;

• Experience with PLCs and data communication (such as CAN bus systems);

• Experience with fault analysis at system level and setting up development tests;

• Familiar with applicable CE directives and relevant (automotive) standards (e.g. cybersecurity and functional safety);

• Good command of the English language (spoken and written) AND Dutch is a pré;

• Willingness to travel occasionally to international suppliers or dealers.
